Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Our Youth Business Hub supports the entrepreneurial spirit of young individuals in our BAME community. It provides access to information, guidance, mentorship, training programs, work placements, and networking opportunities, helping them develop their business ideas into successful ventures.
By empowering young entrepreneurs, we aim to positively impact our local economy and foster a culture of innovation and self-reliance among our youth.

We're gonna focus on these five key parts of the 5E framework:
Engagement:
The hub serves as a focal point for community engagement, uniting people to support young entrepreneurs and collaborate on projects. It enhances community pride, connectivity, and social cohesion through networking events that link young entrepreneurs with potential partners. These platforms allow youth to showcase ideas, build connections, and discover opportunities.
Empowering:
The business / cultural hub features open workspaces for young entrepreneurs to exchange ideas. Promoting knowledge sharing creates opportunities to learn collectively, share best practices, and collaborate. This interaction fosters innovative solutions and continuous learning. With guidance and mentorship, it empowers them to take charge of their futures and achieve self-sufficiency.
Education:
By partnering with schools, we aim to create a smooth transition between education and entrepreneurship, offering tailored work placements that align with academic curriculums. This allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings using the Duke of Edinburgh program.
Employment & Skill Development:
The hub enables young people to gain vital business skills like financial literacy, marketing, networking, and problem-solving. Through mentorship, experienced entrepreneurs provide support to help youth develop ideas, refine strategies, and overcome challenges. These skills benefit their ventures and prepare them for future employment or entrepreneurial pursuits.
Enterprise:
The youth business hub promotes social enterprise, using business principles to tackle social and environmental issues. We host networking events to connect entrepreneurs with partners, allowing youth to showcase their ideas and gain exposure.
We hope our 5E’s from LCC foster social inclusion and equal opportunities for diverse young people, breaking down barriers to success and creating a more equitable society.

The Caribbean Street Food pop - up / Allotmentz pop-up Cafe / Restaurant concept is established to support young people who face significant barriers to engagement.
LCC is committed to serving young individuals in the North London area who encounter difficulties in integrating into society, particularly those who are systematically excluded from traditional educational or training pathways, or who are currently unemployed.
At the conclusion of the program, each participant will have enhanced their life skills, including increased confidence, self-awareness, and civic engagement.
The program will aim to provide these young individuals with a viable progression route into relevant educational, training, or employment opportunities within the catering sector.
This program will be delivered through an intensive and structured service in catering, specifically designed for young people or individuals who have traditionally been hard to reach.
The pop-up Community Café/Restaurant will primarily focus on equipping participants with essential vocational and life skills, as well as offering transitional employment opportunities.
The program will utilize a working environment as a learning platform, enabling these young individuals to access additional resources and support within the broader construction sector.
Our program, facilitated through the pop-up shop, is integrated within communities and seeks to cultivate relationships between local job seekers and those who face challenges in securing employment.
The pop-up Cafe / Restaurant aims to provide young people with tailored support, employment, and ongoing training.
The objective of the pop-up shop is to offer flexible employment coupled with foundational skills and personal development programming for young people who have been traditionally excluded from mainstream education.
In addition, it will afford young individuals the opportunity to attain accredited qualifications through their engagement with the pop-up shop, with paid work as a central feature of the initiative.
"I can't say enough about the outstanding service I received from your community members from the consortium . Their team went above and beyond to meet my needs and exceeded our expectations."
